What to expect
Whether you have been a Christ follower for a long time or you are just testing the waters, we are excited to have you join us. Not sure what to expect? Here are a few things that will answer those questions.
Dress
Come as you are. Most folks dress casual but some people dress up. You'll see anything from shorts and jeans to dresses and shirts and ties. We care more about you as a person than what you have on. You're welcomed here no matter what threads you have.
This seat is for you
We've been told many times that our people are some of the friendliest, welcoming people around. You will be greeted with a smile, welcomed comfortably, not pressured or pushed, and invited in to enjoy the service.
Bible Teaching
We teach straight from the bible. We do our best to conform our lifestyles to the teachings of the Word. Sunday morning sermons are practical, applicable, relevant, convicting, inspiring, and will draw you into wanting more of Jesus Christ.
Music and worship
Scripture teaches us to sing songs before our God so at The Waters we do just that. You can expect a variety of sounds, songs, and unique forms of worship during every service.
What about my kids
The first Sunday of every month we like to call "family Sunday." This is when all kids ages 5 and up join mom and/or dad in the main service for the entire service. We also take communion on this Sunday. Every other Sunday we have a well-equipped nursery and 3yrs-K(tots) ministry located on our ground floor and our Kids' ministry (grades 1-5) is located upstairs. However, as a parent you are more than welcome to keep your children in the service with you on any Sunday if you prefer. There are clipboards and crayons for your kids in the lobby at the welcome center. Parents: we will require that you sign-in and sign-out your children before service begins and when it is finished. We will not release your child unless the same person who signed them in comes and gets them! Safety first is our standard. But your kids will never want to leave, that's how cool our kids ministry is.
